Shrubs to small trees, bark in × greyish. Leaves 15 5 cm, ovate or ovate lanceolate, apex acute, base cuneate; petiole to 2 cm, densely silky pubescent. Peduncles fiterminal, or from an upper axil, 2-12 cm; cymes often forming a panicle 15 cm dia; flowers sessile, white. Sepals 1-3 mm long, ovate, densely woolly, ultimately glabrescent. Corolla-tube as long as the sepals; lobes 2 mm, ovate, crenulate. Stigma subsessile, obscurely 2-lobed. Drupes 6-7 mm diam, subglobose.
