- Prostrate herbs; stem 4-angled, coarsely scabrid. Leaves simple, opposite, × to 7 1 cm, linear-lanceolate to elliptic, coriaceous, pale below; stipule 8 mm long, ovate, rounded at apex, strongly long- toothed, villous. Flowers sessile in axillary clusters, 1-3 together. Calyx 4 mm long, lobes acute, ciliate. Corolla 4-5 mm long, × lobes spreading, white. Capsule 3 2 mm, ovoid, glabrous; seeds angled; deep brown, ovoid, glabrous.
