description
Large twiners. Leaves simple, × alternate, to 22 10 cm, broadly ovate, base deeply cordate, apex acuminate. Flowers 1-3, greenish-white, on long axillary peduncles. Sepals orbicular, rounded at apex, accrescent, clasping the fuits when young, deflexed later. Petals funnel-shaped, white, tube to 15 cm long. Stamens and style included. Capsule subglobose, 2 cm across; seeds 4, black, pubescence all over, sericeous shaggy hairs on the margins.
