Nooraanee School was founded on 26th July 1971as a non-public school by the late Mr. Ali Luthufy of Ever Green, Hithadhoo, Addu. On June 10th 2006 the school became and official government institution focusing on primary education. However in 2017, the government made the decision to convert the school in to Arabic Medium institution that was focused of primary education until 2020. Later in 2020 the school went through a huge change when the public authority concluded that the school will be created as third secondary school in Hithadhoo where the school will serve students from Pre-K through key stage 4.
