Meemu Atoll School was inaugurated on 23 March 1984 (20 Jumadal Aakhir 1404) at 11:02 am by the Minister of Atolls Administration, Hon Al-Ustaz Mohammed Zahir Hussain. The foundation stone of the building was laid on 25 November 1987 (04 Rabiul Aakhir 1408) at 4:45 pm.
