Ghaazee School is a government school of Maldives, located in Hulhumale', Maldives. It is a unisex school that teaches male and female students to primary as well as secondary level of education. English medium is followed in teaching with the exception of Dhivehi, Islam and Qur'an. Name of Ghaazee School represents, As-Sulṭaan al-Ghaazee Muhammad Thakurufaanu al A'uẓam or As-Sultan Ghazi Muhammad Bodu Thakurufaanu ruled over the Maldive Islands from 1573 to 1585 AD. President S R Nathan and President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom of the Maldives officiated at the inauguration ceremony of Ghaazee School on Hulhumalé Island in the Maldives on 25th October 2007. Ghaazee School, an integrated primary and secondary school, was built by the Singapore Government and the Singapore Red Cross Society as part of Singapore's reconstruction assistance package for Maldives following the December 2004 tsunami.
