A community school was officially registered as ""Fiyoaree Makthab"" on September 17, 1980, to provide a nurturing environment that fosters students embracing Islamic values, a love for their nation, and a passion for learning and exploration who are equipped to tackle future challenges and exemplify dedication, diligence, strength, and knowledge. Transitioning to ""Fiyoaree School"" in 1983, the institution evolved into a government school on August 25, 2005. While secondary education began independently in 2004, the school's inaugural participation in the ordinary-level examination took place in 2009. Fiyoaree School, renowned for its exceptional success, consistently produces top achievers, earning recognition as one of the notable institutions in the atoll and the Maldives. Today, the school upholds inclusive and holistic education principles from preschool to lower secondary levels, offering specialised streams in science, business, and B.Tech. hospitality.
