Makthabul Misbah was the name under which Magoodhoo School was first launched on August 13, 1950. With the kind assistance of the government, the residents of Faaf Magoodhoo administered the school. The school went through several name changes before becoming a government school on January 1st, 2024. Secondary education at Magoodhoo School began in 2003, with the first class of students completing their O'levels in 2005.
