The school was established in the mid-1940s under the name of “Maktab-ul-Irshaad”. The teachers at that time were Moosa Didi of Finifenmaage, Th. Dhiyamigili, Ali Didi of Ladaige, Th. Dhiyamigili, Ibrahim Navarathashige Th.Dhiyamigili and Rankaleyfaanu of Th.Madifushi. Since 1956, Sara Moosa Didi, Shabnameege, Th. Dhiyamigili and Ibrahim Deedi, Kundige, Th. Dhiyamigili have mainly worked as teachers. Thereafter, on 25 June 1980, school was registered as a public school under the name of “Maktab-ul-Irshaad.” On 26 October 1993, the school was moved to the present building and registered in the name of Th. Dhiyamigili School as a public school. Th. Dhiyamigili Madharusa was registered as a government school on 1st August 2005. Subsequently, on 7 January 2016, the name of the school was changed to Th. Dhiyamigili School. Th. Dhiyamigili School offers education from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4. The school offers combined stream subjects and B Tec if required.
