In the year 1979, Ministry of Education of Republic of Maldives gave permission to start Noorani Makthabu in a temporary built Madhivaru. Noorani Makthab has been upgraded and renamed as Dhaal Atoll School and was officially dedicated to Dhaal Atoll Community on 16 July 1984.
