Clinical information

Common uses

advanced non-small cell lung cancer, alone or with cisplatin

Common side effects

low blood counts
feeling or being sick
constipation
weakness
nerve pain or numbness

Cautions

severe bone marrow suppression can cause fatal infection
severe constipation and bowel blockage can occur
leakage at the drip site can cause severe tissue injury
liver and lung problems monitored during treatment

Interactions

CYP3A4 inhibitors — earlier or worse side effects

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby
