Vinorelbine

A chemotherapy injection used to treat non-small cell lung cancer.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • advanced non-small cell lung cancer, alone or with cisplatin

Common side effects

  • low blood counts
  • feeling or being sick
  • constipation
  • weakness
  • nerve pain or numbness

Cautions

  • severe bone marrow suppression can cause fatal infection
  • severe constipation and bowel blockage can occur
  • leakage at the drip site can cause severe tissue injury
  • liver and lung problems monitored during treatment

Interactions

  • CYP3A4 inhibitors — earlier or worse side effects

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby
