Clinical information

Common uses

parkinsonism, often alongside levodopa
movement side effects caused by antipsychotic medicines

Common side effects

dry mouth
blurred vision
dizziness
mild nausea
nervousness

Cautions

eye pressure monitored regularly — glaucoma has occurred with long-term use
confusion or agitation possible in elderly or sensitive patients
overuse for euphoria can cause psychiatric disturbance
