Antiviral eye drops for herpes infection of the cornea.

Clinical information

Common uses

primary keratoconjunctivitis from herpes simplex virus
recurrent epithelial keratitis (corneal ulcers)
cases not responding to idoxuridine or vidarabine

Cautions

only for a confirmed diagnosis of herpetic keratitis
do not exceed recommended dose or frequency
not effective against bacterial, fungal or chlamydial infections
