Common uses

HER2-overexpressing breast cancer
HER2-overexpressing metastatic stomach cancer

Common side effects

headache
diarrhoea
feeling sick
chills
fever

Cautions

can weaken the heart — heart function checked before and during treatment
serious infusion reactions and lung problems can occur
can seriously harm an unborn baby — use effective contraception
can worsen chemotherapy-related low white blood cells

Interactions

anthracycline chemotherapy — higher heart risk; avoid for 7 months after

Pregnancy: avoid — can cause serious harm to the baby
