Common uses

heavy periods
nosebleeds
bleeding after dental work (mouthwash)
hereditary angioedema

Cautions

not suitable after a blood clot (DVT or pulmonary embolism)
get urgent help for eyesight problems or clot signs
may not suit people with epilepsy or kidney problems

Interactions

combined contraceptive pill — very small increased blood clot risk

Pregnancy: not often recommended — only if prescribed
