Clinical information

Common uses

newly diagnosed glioblastoma (with radiotherapy)
anaplastic astrocytoma

Common side effects

hair loss
tiredness
feeling sick
vomiting
headache

Cautions

lowers blood cell counts — blood tests before each cycle
severe liver damage reported — liver tests needed
risk of serious lung infection (pneumocystis pneumonia)
use effective contraception; men should use condoms

Pregnancy: avoid — can cause birth defects and miscarriage
