Tamsulosin Hcl

Clinical information

Common uses

enlarged prostate symptoms
kidney stones
prostatitis (occasionally)

Common side effects

feeling dizzy
sweating
problems ejaculating (little or no semen)

Cautions

may cause dizziness at first — avoid driving until you feel better
tell your doctor before cataract or glaucoma surgery
alcohol increases the dizziness
not suitable with severe liver or kidney problems

Interactions

other alpha blockers (doxazosin, alfuzosin) — lower blood pressure
blood pressure medicines — may drop pressure too far
erectile dysfunction medicines (sildenafil, tadalafil)
ketoconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin (slow its removal)
diclofenac and warfarin (speed its removal)
alcohol
