Tadalafil

Clinical information

Common uses

erectile dysfunction
peeing problems from an enlarged prostate
pulmonary arterial hypertension

Common side effects

indigestion
muscle aches, back pain
blocked or stuffy nose
flushed face
headache

Cautions

not suitable soon after a heart attack or stroke
not with very low or uncontrolled high blood pressure
caution with sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia or myeloma
do not drink grapefruit juice

Interactions

nitrates for chest pain — dangerous blood pressure drop
poppers (amyl nitrate) and recreational drugs — serious risk
rifampicin, erythromycin, clarithromycin (antibiotics)
HIV medicines
antifungal medicines
other blood pressure or erectile dysfunction medicines

Pregnancy: avoid while pregnant or breastfeeding
