Solifenacin Succinate

A once-daily tablet that treats overactive bladder symptoms such as needing to pee often.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • overactive bladder (urgency, frequent peeing)

Common side effects

  • dry mouth
  • blurred vision
  • constipation
  • headache
  • feeling sick

Cautions

  • not suitable with glaucoma or urinary retention
  • caution with myasthenia gravis or severe bowel conditions
  • tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems
  • do not drive if it makes you sleepy or blurs vision

Interactions

  • medicines causing drowsiness, dry mouth or trouble peeing
  • itraconazole (antifungal)
  • ritonavir (HIV medicine)
