- RET fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer
- RET-mutant medullary thyroid cancer
- other RET fusion-positive thyroid cancers and solid tumours
Common side effects
- muscle and joint pain
- swelling (oedema)
- diarrhoea
- tiredness
- dry mouth
Cautions
- liver toxicity — regular liver tests needed
- can raise blood pressure and affect heart rhythm (QT)
- serious lung inflammation possible
- can harm an unborn baby — use contraception
Interactions
- antacids and acid-reducing medicines — avoid or separate timing
- strong or moderate CYP3A inhibitors — avoid or reduce dose
- CYP3A inducers — avoid
- QT-prolonging drugs — extra heart monitoring
Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby
