A PARP-inhibitor cancer tablet for certain BRCA-mutated ovarian and prostate cancers.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • maintenance of BRCA-mutated recurrent ovarian cancer
  • BRCA-mutated metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer

Common side effects

  • feeling sick
  • tiredness or weakness
  • anaemia
  • raised liver enzymes
  • loss of appetite

Cautions

  • rare risk of blood cancers (MDS/AML) — blood counts monitored monthly
  • can harm an unborn baby — use effective contraception
  • skin may become sensitive to sunlight
