Common side effects

  • mouth numbness
  • weakness
  • feeling sick
  • high blood pressure
  • stomach pain

Cautions

  • can cause liver injury — avoid with existing liver problems
  • report any fever — risk of low white blood cells
  • stop if lung inflammation develops
  • pancreatitis has been reported

Interactions

  • strong CYP1A2 inhibitors — more side effects
  • CYP1A2 inducers — may reduce effect
  • other liver-toxic drugs — higher liver risk

Pregnancy: possible risk to the baby — talk to your doctor
