Clinical information

Common uses

wet age-related macular degeneration
macular oedema after retinal vein occlusion
diabetic macular oedema and diabetic retinopathy
myopic choroidal neovascularisation

Common side effects

bleeding on the white of the eye
eye pain
floaters
raised eye pressure

Cautions

eye infection or retinal detachment can follow injections — monitored
raised eye pressure can occur
possible risk of blood clot events

Interactions

photodynamic therapy — serious eye inflammation reported when given together

Pregnancy: only if clearly needed
