Common uses

supporting embryo implantation in assisted reproduction
maintaining early pregnancy up to 10 weeks

Common side effects

pain after egg collection
abdominal pain
feeling sick
ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

Cautions

not with undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding
not with history of blood clots or hormone-sensitive cancer
not with serious liver disease
watch for worsening depression

Interactions

CYP3A4-inducing medicines — may reduce its effect
other vaginal products such as antifungals — avoid using together

Pregnancy: used in early pregnancy as part of fertility treatment
