Clinical information

Common uses

bacterial conjunctivitis
corneal ulcers

Common side effects

brief burning or discomfort in the eye
stinging
redness
itching
blurred vision

Cautions

not for injection into the eye
rare severe allergic reactions to quinolones
stop the drops if an allergic reaction occurs

Interactions

theophylline (with quinolones taken by mouth)
warfarin (blood thinner)
ciclosporin
