Nystatin

Nystatin is an antifungal medicine for oral thrush and fungal skin infections.

Clinical information

Common uses

oral thrush (mouth thrush)
fungal skin infections (in combination creams)
preventing fungal infections

Common side effects

diarrhoea
feeling sick
being sick
skin irritation from creams

Cautions

keep taking for 2 days after symptoms clear
do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after the liquid
liquid contains a small amount of sucrose
see a doctor if not better after 7 days

Pregnancy: safe to use in pregnancy
