Common uses

preventing stomach ulcers in people taking NSAIDs at high risk

Cautions

never take if pregnant — causes birth defects, abortion or uterine rupture (boxed warning)
do not give the medicine to anyone else
women who could become pregnant need a pregnancy test and contraception
labour-related uses are hospital-only

Interactions

oxytocin (labour drug) — effects increased, avoid within 4 hours
no significant interaction with aspirin, diclofenac or ibuprofen

Pregnancy: never in pregnancy — causes abortion and birth defects
