Clinical information

Common uses

fluid retention (oedema) in heart failure
oedema in kidney disease
high blood pressure

Cautions

not for people who cannot pass urine (anuria)
not for people in or near hepatic coma
can lower potassium and sodium levels

Pregnancy: avoid routine use — only for specific medical causes
