Common uses

developing multiple follicles in ART (IVF) cycles

Common side effects

abdominal cramps or pain
enlarged abdomen
headache
injection-site pain or reaction
ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)

Cautions

ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome can be serious
multiple pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy risks
only for use by fertility specialists with monitoring
not with primary ovarian failure or unexplained bleeding

Pregnancy: do not use — contraindicated in pregnancy
