anorexia, cachexia or unexplained major weight loss in AIDS

Common side effects

diarrhoea
wind (flatulence)
rash
nausea
headache

Cautions

can suppress the adrenal glands — Cushing's or adrenal insufficiency
new or worsened diabetes reported
not for preventing weight loss
blood clots reported after marketing

Pregnancy: do not use — may harm the unborn baby
