Clinical information

Common uses

skin symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives)

Common side effects

sleepiness
tiredness
dry mouth
sore throat or cold-like symptoms

Cautions

avoid driving or hazardous work until effects known
not with severe kidney failure or dialysis
stop if urinary retention occurs

Interactions

alcohol and CNS depressants (avoid — more drowsiness)

Pregnancy: limited human data — no fetal harm in animal studies
