Common side effects
- permanent change in eye colour
- longer, thicker eyelashes
- sensitivity to light
- red, itchy or irritated eyes
- eye pain
Cautions
- eye colour change can be permanent
- remove contact lenses; wait 15 minutes to re-insert
- tell your doctor about eye surgery, herpes eye infection or severe asthma
- do not stop without advice — eye pressure can rise again
Interactions
- other prostaglandin eye drops (tafluprost, travoprost, bimatoprost) — combining can raise eye pressure
- other eye drops (wait at least 5 minutes between)
Pregnancy: can be used in pregnancy
