Ketorolac Tromethamine

Ketorolac is a strong anti-inflammatory painkiller (NSAID) for short-term use only.

Clinical information

Common uses

short-term pain relief (no more than 5 days)

Common side effects

stomach pain
indigestion
feeling sick
headaches
dizziness

Cautions

can cause serious stomach bleeding and ulcers
not for use before or during major surgery
avoid with kidney problems or risk of bleeding
not for children; adults limited to 5 days

Interactions

aspirin and other NSAIDs (must not combine)
probenecid (must not combine)
pentoxifylline (must not combine)

Pregnancy: avoid from 30 weeks and during labour; limit use from 20 weeks
