An NSAID capsule for arthritis pain and period pain.

Clinical information

Common uses

rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
pain management
period pain (primary dysmenorrhoea)

Common side effects

indigestion
feeling sick or stomach pain
diarrhoea or constipation
headache
dizziness or drowsiness

Cautions

increased risk of heart attack and stroke
serious stomach bleeding and ulcers can occur without warning
not after aspirin- or NSAID-triggered asthma or allergy
serious skin reactions — stop at first rash

Interactions

warfarin (bleeding risk — close monitoring)
aspirin (not recommended together)
diuretics (reduced effect; kidney risk)
lithium (toxicity risk)
methotrexate (toxicity risk)
probenecid (not recommended)

Pregnancy: avoid from 30 weeks; limit use from 20 weeks
