An immunotherapy antibody infusion for melanoma and several other advanced cancers.

Clinical information

Common uses

melanoma (advanced, or after surgery)
advanced kidney cancer (with nivolumab)
certain bowel, liver, lung and oesophageal cancers (with nivolumab)
malignant pleural mesothelioma (with nivolumab)

Common side effects

tiredness
diarrhoea
itching
rash
feeling sick

Cautions

immune system can attack normal organs — can be severe or fatal
report diarrhoea, rash, breathing or hormone problems immediately
infusion reactions can occur
serious complications after donor stem-cell transplant

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby
