An anticholinergic medicated cloth applied to the skin for excessive underarm sweating.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • excessive underarm sweating (primary axillary hyperhidrosis), age 9 and older

Common side effects

  • dry mouth
  • blurred vision
  • headache
  • trouble passing urine
  • skin redness, burning or itching

Cautions

  • not for people with glaucoma or certain bowel or bladder conditions
  • heat illness possible — take care in hot environments
  • do not drive or use machinery if vision blurs
  • caution with a history of urinary retention

Interactions

  • other anticholinergic medicines — avoid; additive side effects
