Clinical information

Common uses

acute herpetic keratitis (dendritic corneal ulcers)
adults and children 2 years and older

Common side effects

blurred vision
eye irritation
punctate keratitis (small corneal spots)
eye redness

Cautions

for the eye only
no contact lenses during herpetic keratitis or treatment

Pregnancy: no human data — animal studies reassuring at eye doses
