treatment of certain cancers (chemotherapy)

Cautions

severe bone marrow suppression — blood counts checked each cycle
anaphylactic-type reactions can occur during infusion
low blood pressure if infused too quickly
rare risk of later acute leukaemia

Interactions

high-dose ciclosporin (raises etoposide levels)

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby
