hearing loss
middle ear infection (otitis media)
fever
pneumonia
diarrhoea

Cautions

bone marrow suppression — blood counts monitored
liver toxicity — liver tests monitored
hearing monitored before and during treatment
can harm an unborn baby

Pregnancy: avoid — can cause fetal harm; use effective contraception
