Durvalumab

Durvalumab (Imfinzi) is a PD-L1 immunotherapy for lung and several other cancers.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • non-small cell and small cell lung cancer
  • biliary tract cancer and liver cancer (combinations)
  • endometrial cancer (mismatch repair deficient)
  • bladder and gastric cancers (combinations)

Common side effects

  • fatigue
  • nausea and constipation
  • rash
  • musculoskeletal pain
  • cough and breathlessness (lung cancer patients)

Cautions

  • immune-mediated inflammation of lungs, bowel, liver or glands can be fatal
  • infusion-related reactions can occur
  • serious complications after allogeneic stem-cell transplant
  • can harm an unborn baby

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm an unborn baby; use effective contraception
