Clinical information

Common uses

  • retrograde cystourethrography (bladder and urethra X-ray)

Cautions

  • severe allergic-type reactions more likely with asthma or allergy history
  • iodine or contrast sensitivity needs extreme caution
  • the procedure itself can cause blood in urine or infection

Pregnancy: only if clearly needed
