Clinical information

Common uses

cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation
quieting cough to help sleep

Cautions

not with, or within 2 weeks of, an MAOI antidepressant
contains sulfite — possible allergic-type reactions
ask a doctor for smoker's, asthma or phlegmy cough
see a doctor if cough lasts over 7 days

Interactions

monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) — do not combine
