Antihistamine solution for allergy symptoms such as hay fever and hives.

Clinical information

Common uses

  • allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
  • allergic conjunctivitis
  • hives and swelling (urticaria, angioedema)
  • add-on treatment after severe allergic reactions

Common side effects

  • drowsiness or sleepiness
  • dizziness
  • dry mouth, nose and throat
  • feeling sick
  • blurred vision

Cautions

  • use with care in narrow-angle glaucoma
  • caution with stomach ulcer or gut blockage
  • caution with enlarged prostate or urinary problems

Interactions

  • MAO inhibitor antidepressants — intensify drying effects
