Clinical information

Common uses

eye inflammation where bacterial infection is likely
eye injury from chemicals, burns or foreign bodies

Common side effects

allergic skin or eye reactions
raised pressure in the eye
cataract formation
delayed wound healing

Cautions

not for viral, fungal or TB eye infections
prolonged use can cause glaucoma and cataracts
eye pressure should be checked if used 10 days or longer
not for injection

Pregnancy: only if benefits outweigh risks
