A moderate steroid cream or ointment for skin swelling, itching and irritation.

Clinical information

Common uses

eczema, including contact dermatitis
psoriasis
insect bites and stings
nappy rash

Common side effects

burning or stinging for a few minutes after applying

Cautions

do not use on the face unless prescribed
not for under-12s unless prescribed
can worsen or spread skin infections
if bought without prescription, no more than a week's use

Interactions

ritonavir (HIV medicine)
itraconazole (antifungal)

Pregnancy: can be used during pregnancy
