Clinical information

Common uses

bacterial vaginosis (vaginal cream)

Cautions

can cause serious diarrhoea/colitis, even used vaginally
avoid with a history of bowel inflammation or antibiotic colitis
avoid if allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin

Interactions

surgical muscle relaxants (neuromuscular blocking agents)

Pregnancy: can be used in the second and third trimesters
