Clinical information

Common uses

producing miosis (small pupil) during eye surgery
limits eye-pressure rise after cataract surgery

Common side effects

corneal clouding or swelling
eye inflammation or pain
blurred vision
flushing, sweating, stomach cramps, headache

Cautions

caution in heart failure, asthma or peptic ulcer
caution in overactive thyroid, urinary obstruction, Parkinson's disease
vial stopper contains latex — allergy risk
