Common uses

plaque psoriasis of the skin and scalp

Common side effects

itchy skin, rash or redness
pain, burning or stinging where applied
psoriasis getting worse

Cautions

do not exceed the maximum weekly amount — can raise blood calcium
do not use on your face
skin may be easily irritated by sunlight or UV treatment
keep away from flames — it can catch fire

Interactions

vitamin D and calcium supplements
some diuretics, such as indapamide
digoxin and other heart rhythm medicines

Pregnancy: not usually used — effects on the baby not known
