Clinical information

Common uses

multiple myeloma
mantle cell lymphoma

Common side effects

feeling sick and vomiting
diarrhoea or constipation
low blood cell counts
nerve pain or numbness (peripheral neuropathy)
tiredness

Cautions

nerve damage may need dose changes or stopping
can cause low blood pressure
heart and lung problems can occur or worsen
must never be injected into the spine — fatal

Interactions

strong CYP3A4 inhibitor medicines — close monitoring
strong CYP3A4 inducer medicines — avoid
diabetes medicines — blood sugar may need adjusting

Pregnancy: avoid — can harm the unborn baby; use effective contraception
