Clinical information

Common uses

active systemic lupus erythematosus, alongside standard therapy
active lupus nephritis, alongside standard therapy

Common side effects

feeling sick
diarrhoea
fever
cold-like symptoms and bronchitis
injection site reactions

Cautions

serious, sometimes fatal infections can occur
watch for new or worsening depression or suicidal thoughts
serious allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) reported
no live vaccines during treatment

Interactions

live vaccines (do not give during treatment)

Pregnancy: not enough data — may affect the baby's immune system
